    🤲 Flexibility Assessment (Sit & Reach OR Shoulder Stretch)

    TEKS: 8A, 8C - Flexibility principles and body awareness

    Option A: Sit & Reach

    1. Student sits with legs extended
    2. Slowly reach forward 4 times
    3. Hold final stretch for measurement
    4. Record inches reached past toes

    Average Standards:

    • Ages 5-6: 8-10 inches
    • Ages 7-8: 9-11 inches
    • Ages 9-10: 10-12 inches

    Option B: Shoulder Stretch

    1. One hand over shoulder, other up back
    2. Try to touch fingertips behind back
    3. Test both left and right sides
    4. Record pass/needs improvement

    Pass Rates by Age:

    • Ages 5-6: 60-70% pass rate
    • Ages 7-8: 70-80% pass rate
    • Ages 9-10: 75-85% pass rate
